PSYCHED!!!!! :) Thank you so much!!!!
Because I love this story of new beginnings, a second chance at love, old feelings, new families, re-united in love, faith and respect.
That means the world to me as a mom, as a Grandma, as a sister, a daughter.
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us...
Such perfect words for an imperfect world.
When I write a story like Seth and Gianna's, I borrow elements from real life, from family and friends, old dogs, new kittens and sage neighbors. It's like a recipe for the best meatballs ever, only better.
And that's what I love about my job. I can smooth edges that are rough in real life. I can gild the lily, slant the truth, polish the diamonds in the rough.... In real life that's not always possible, but those experiences help me see how things could be, if we just stepped back... took a deep breath.... and said a prayer.
I had a beautiful Holy Week before Easter, it is my favorite time of year. So sacred, so special, such beautiful services reminding us of the ultimate sacrifice of Christ on the cross, ending in the beauty of an empty tomb.
I love that. I love the music, the hymns, the sanctity of Lenten preparation and then following Christ's journey from his triumphant entry into Jerusalem. to his crucifixion. :(
But I cling to that in times of trouble or torment: The wondrous good that springs from bad, the power of good over evil. I believe wholly and whole-heartedly that my Lord is risen... and triumphant.... and loves us despite our silly human ways.
When I write a story like this one, I want to touch hearts and souls with the warmth of God's gentle love and the light of Christ. What an amazing job I have!
Hey, I'm notifying winners from two weeks ago! My bad, I got caught up in Easter and forgot to send out e-mails, but fixing that right now.
And who knows????
We might find a few more copies of "Loving the Lawman" to give away next week! :)
