It's all about the food, right? :)
Sure the game adds a sporting element, but on the East Coast, kids have to be in bed by half-time so we started a "Half-a-Superbowl" party several years ago...
The only rule is to bring a dish to pass... and go home at halftime! :)
Although we did promise the older kids they could go home after half-time this year because they want to see Katy Perry "ROAR"!!!!
I know there's football involved, but most importantly there's fancy punch in fancy glasses, there are platters of chicken fajitas and a crock of homemade mac and cheese (RECIPE HERE!!!) and a pot of meatballs and cookies and brownies and salted nuts... and whatever else shows up!
Can you hear the game???
Naw. Mostly because we're all dissecting the commercials, LOL!
But it's good, clean fun and we have the joy of family and friends... and the Puppy Bowl and Kitten Bowl on in the other room, of course!... and there's never a bad reason to have a good party!
My favorite Superbowl commercial to date!!!
And the theme from "Rocky" music only adds to the excellence, LOL! How could anyone not cheer for Hank????
I can't think of a Clydesdale commercial I didn't love, but this one is my favorite, the Clydesdale salute to New York City post 9/11:
Born into poverty, best-selling, multi-published inspirational author Ruth Logan Herne likes to be called "Ruthy", she loves to chat about God, faith, romance, cute heroes and sweet babies! She's way too bossy, kind of a know-it-all, and somewhat annoying, but when you take all that out of the picture, she's just the gal next door...
